    Get2College Centers offer a variety of free information and college planning services to help Mississippi’s high school students get to college. The Centers offer a friendly environment where both students and parents can come to learn more about what it takes to get in and pay for college. Professional counselors become your college coach, assisting with ACT preparation, completing admissions and financial aid applications, resume building, college selection, essay writing and more!

    The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by the College Board.The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers will review standardized test scores alongside your high school GPA, the classes you took in high school, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays. How important SAT scores are in the college application process varies from school to school.

    FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is the application students fill out in order to determine their financial aid eligibility. FAFSAneeds to be filled out each academic year. You can submit a FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov.
