I've submitted an application for a teaching position. What are the next steps?
Once an application has been submitted into our platform, principals and hiring managers will have an opportunity to review applications, resumes, transcripts, contact references, and schedule interviews. From there, candidates will be invited to particpate in the hiring and onboarding process if recommended for hire by a prinicipal/hiring manager.

I am not a certified teacher, but I am interested in becoming one. What are the steps to becoming a teacher?
There are multiple pathways to teaching that an individual can take based on their educational background and area of teaching interest. The JPS HR Office of Recruitment schedules 1-on-1 appointments to help individuals navigate the licensure guidelines on thier journey to making teaching their career choice.

What certification(s) or credentials do I need to teach in the 麻豆社事件 Public School District?

I have an out of state license. How do I go about getting a Mississippi Teaching Certificate?
The Mississippi Department of Education will grant a standard five-year license to any individual who possesses a valid standard license from another state within a period of twenty-one (21) days from the date of a completed application.
Requirements include:
- A valid standard out-of-state license (Upload PDF copy of valid standard out-of-state license via Educator Licensure Management System (ELMS) account or submit photocopy of original valid standard out-of-state educator license via postal mail)
- An official Sealed copy of all college/university level academic transcripts

I applied for a student teaching placement. When will I know my school placement?
Once student teachers have cleared background checks and have been properly onboarded, placements will be coordinated by our Manager of Teacher Support and Retention, Janet Wallace. For any additional questions regarding student teaching placements, please contact the JPS Human Resources Office of Recruitment at 601-985-3159.
