Coach Bailey

Marquise Bailey was named the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Peeples Middle School in the summer of 2018. Since earning the job, Coach Bailey has slowly turned the program into a Powerhouse in the City. His career win-loss record is (22-5). In his two years as the Head Basketball Coach, he has appeared in two South Divisional Championship games (winning one) along with a City championship appearance.

(Year One)

(2018-2019) Record (13-1)

During his first year at the helm, the Hornets improved their South Divisional win total by nine games and won the most games for the program since the 2012-2013 campaign. Coach Bailey also helped to implement a defensive system that led the Division in steals and his scrappy mentality helped lead the Hornets to a South Divisional championship and an appearance in the 2019 City Championship.

(Year Two)

(2019-2020) Record (9-4)

During his second year at the helm, Coach Bailey took a team that only brought back one starter from his 2018-2019 South Divisional Championship team to a second-place regular season finish in the Division, and a runner-up finish in the South Division Championship. With the help of his starting point guard and middle school standout Stephen Barber, Coach Bailey was one possession from returning to the City championship game.
