Audition Requirements
Students interested in auditioning must be prepared to perform two different pieces: one must be a memorized 1-minute monologue and the second piece can either be a contrasting 1-minute monologue or a short song from a musical (a Broadway show, a Disney movie, etc.).
When selecting a monologue, it is always recommended that you choose one that you connect with and understand well.
If you choose to perform two monologues, they must contrast: if one is comedic, the other should be dramatic for example.
If you choose to do a monologue and a song, you only need to perform one verse and one chorus.
If you choose to perform a song, it may be done a capella or you may bring a musical CD (or the song on a phone).
