Requirements

  • Carneige Units

        -   ; minimal: English 1 & II, Algebra I, Biology I, World History, Economics, Mississippi Studies, U S History, U S Government, Health, Physical Education, Arts, Technology/ Computer Science, College and Career Readiness

        -  : additional units are based on a selected pathway and electives

        -  Units required to advance to the next high school classification: 8 units from Freshman to Sophomore, 14 units from Sophomore to Junior and 20 units from Junior to Senior

    Testing

        -   MAAP/ SATP 2 - Contact school counselor, administration or board of Ed (JPSD) member if you have any issues.

        -     - Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery test your ability in a variety of subjects in a functional, comprehensive manner.

       -   ACT WorkKeys - a system of assessments, curriculum, and job profiling that determine, build, and measure essential workplace skills that can affect job performance and increase opportunities for career changes and advancement.

       -   ACT - American College Test:  A reflection of what students have learned throughout high school and provide colleges and universities with excellent information for recruiting, advising, placement, and retention.
