Hello Parents!
My name is Camechelle Stevens, this is my second-year teaching at Peeples Middles School. I completed my undergraduate degree at the best HBCU in the country, THEE I LOVE!. In December of this year I will obtain a Masters of Art in Teaching degree. I like to think of myself as an understanding and reasonable teacher! However, I set high expectations for my students, and I am a stickler for organization and procedures. It is my belief that 8th grade is a transitional grade, therefore student responsibility increases as well as their independence, in terms of work. When your scholar leaves Science 209 with me they will be well prepared for both biology and life in general. I also believe that children must be taught how to think, not what to think. Having said that, my teaching style activates critical thinking. Critical thinking is one of the most important skills a growing mind must practice in order to become a productive member of society.
A part from teaching. I work in sales, I'm a mother and a wife. I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with close friends and family. I look forward to enriching the minds of your children. Join me in making this a great school year!
